Final exams and graduation to conclude the 2021-2022 school year at EHS

Celebrating the school year’s conclusion, Interact Club members should meet in the Emmaus High School Courtyard 2:25-3 p.m. June 2. To attend, students must have registered before May 20.

The EHS Theater Department will hold its last meeting June 2 after school, where officer elections for the 2022-2023 school year will take place.

An important reminder to all students: final exams will run June 3-7. Exams for students’ 1A, 2A and 3A classes will be administered June 3; exams for students’ 4A, 1B and 2B classes will be administered June 6 and exams for students’ 3B and 4B classes will be administered June 7. Those dates will run on a revised bell schedule with dismissal 1 p.m.

In addition, EHS will follow an open campus policy; students must be present for their scheduled exams only and may arrange early/late transportation accordingly. Exams will not be worth over 10 percent of one’s fourth marking period grade. Contact teachers with questions.

Exam makeups will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7, followed by a second makeup session June 8 in the multimedia room. Students are not required to attend school June 8 if their exams have all been completed by this date.

Additionally, students are exempt from final exams of AP courses. Seniors are exempt from final exams in full-year courses where they have earned a 90 percent or higher in each marking period (omit dual-enrollment courses). Visit the EHS website for additional details on final examinations.

The theater department will offer an Evening of Theater 8 p.m. June 6 in the EHS auditorium. Now through June 3, dress and tech rehearsals for this event are held every day after school.

Summer circulation at the library has begun. Books checked out for the summer will be due Sept. 9 or earlier. For exact dates, see the paper slip in the cover of your checkouts.

The last day of school is June 9, which will follow a half-day schedule and rotate through students’ A-day and B-day classes.

The Class of 2022 will hold graduation practice 8:30 a.m. June 8. in the PPL Center. Attendance is mandatory. Students in need of transportation to and from practice may visit https://www.eastpennsd.org/athletics-activities/graduation-information/.

A Baccalaureate service will be held 9 a.m. June 11 in the EHS auditorium, followed by the graduation ceremony 1 p.m. June 12 in the PPL Center.

For seniors: all library books, missing textbooks and debt slips must be returned or paid off in order to graduate. Contact the library or the counseling offices with questions regarding these requirements.
