Henry Horatio Cassler III

Henry Horatio Cassler III, 76, of Emmaus, died peacefully March 15, 2022, at home with his family after battling cancer. He was the husband of Elisebet (Hildisch) Cassler for 53 years. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Henrietta Margaret (Farr) Cassler and Henry Horatio Cassler Jr.

He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.

He worked for Buckeye Pipeline for 40 years, retiring in 2008.

He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus, for over 50 years serving as the president of the congregational council, singing bass in the adult choir and leading numerous construction projects.

He is survived by his beloved wife; daughters, Margaret and her husband, Kenneth Klein, of Gettysburg; Rebecca and her husband, Douglas Fearing, of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney Jolie Klein, of Gettysburg; Dylan Henry Fearing and Avery Elisabeth Fearing, of Austin, Texas.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. March 26 in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, 18049. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.

Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus. Masks will be required for the visitation and service in the church.
