Patricia A. Harig

Patricia A. Harig, 80, of Emmaus, died Feb. 24, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Harig for 43 years and lived in Lower Macungie Township as well as Mertztown. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Emma (Green) Boger.

She was a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ.

She worked at Rodale Manufacturing Company for 17 years as an assembly worker. After that, she retired and enjoyed time with her grandkids.

She was a member of Wescosville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for more than 35 years and the Firefighters Women’s Association of Wescosville since 1999.

She cared for many family members who needed assistance and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren when they were young. She and her husband hosted family picnics each year that were enjoyed by all. Holiday pinochle playing was always a family tradition.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda (John) Weida, of Allentown, Bonnie (Anthony) Miller, of Macungie, Cynthia (Sylvan) Wenrich, of Bethlehem; brothers, Carl Boger, of Allentown, Ralph Boger Jr., of Breinigsville; sister, Frances Grossman, of Allentown; grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Brittany Weida (Drew) Kutzor, Meghan Weida, William Updegrove III, Shane Miller, Adam Wenrich; a step-grandchild, Clair Wenrich; a great-grandson, Harrison Kutzor; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor Scherer, of Allentown, Edith Persiani, of Ocala, Fla.; a stepsister, Jean Worman, of Whitehall.
