Hit-and-run crash info sought

Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash at 2:11 p.m. Feb. 16 on Route 22 in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

State police at the Bethlehem barracks said a 64-year-old New Ringgold man who was driving the vehicle that was struck by a runaway vehicle, and a 57-year-old woman from Northampton, who was his passenger, were treated at the scene by members of the Northampton Regional EMS corps.

Police said the incident happened near mile marker 323.6 westbound when a dark-colored sedan was changing lanes of travel on the highway and struck a 2002 Jeep Cherokee that was being driven by the New Ringgold man. Police said the impact of the crash caused the Jeep to overturn on the right shoulder of the highway. It was towed from the scene.
