Families celebrate New Year at noon

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

Upper Macungie Township sponsored a Kids Noon Year’s Party Jan. 2 at the Good Will Fire Co. No. 1, Trexlertown.

The afternoon program enabled entire families to celebrate the New Year together rather than having the youngsters try to stay awake until midnight.

Music, face painting, activities, giveaways, vendors and a noon balloon drop were all part of the celebration.

Upper Macungie Township Police School Resource Officer Bill Rohrbach was on hand to greet children and families to the Kids Noon Year's Party and Balloon Drop, Jan. 2. Officer Rohrbach greets Kylie Dolich, 6, to the party.
