STUDENT PROFILE - Alexandria Nehme, Notre Dame HS

Family: Dad – Nehme Nehme; Mom – Georgia Nehme; Sisters Therese (21) and Katerina (19), and brother Joseph (11)

Favorite subject: My favorite subject is theology. This year we are learning about the meaning of life on a deeper level and it has opened my eyes to many new things. Theology has always been something I found a joy in learning.

Activities: Varsity soccer (captain), Key Club, Greenhouse Club, Friends/Peer Listeners, Student Council (Student Body President), NHS (National Honors Society), MYO (Maronile Youth Organization), Yearbook Club, Track & Field

Next steps: I plan to go to college after high school to continue my academic career.

Career goals: I plan to major in finance and minor in political science, and I am also considering attending law school after I receive my bachelor’s degree.

Heroes: My parents are my heroes. They have shown me how important it is to always work hard to succeed but also enjoy life and find happiness. They have motivated me to be the person I am today and have given me the confidence to always be my true self.

Hobbies: Some of my hobbies include baking, reading, watching movies, working out, and hanging with friends and family.

Current job(s): I do not currently have a job, but in the summer I work at Northampton Country Club.

Volunteer/community work: I volunteered as a greeter at St. Luke’s Anderson, at my church – Our Lady of Lebanon, doing many different things, and I have done community service for school activities.

Likes: I like meeting new people and trying new things. I like vacationing and seeing new places. I like when I succeed after working hard, and I like to laugh and have fun.

Dislikes: I really dislike avocados. I dislike being forgetful and being late. I dislike dishonesty and dislike airplanes.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): So far my greatest accomplishment is being student body president and captain of the varsity girls soccer team.

Advice for peers: Never sell yourself short because you never know what you are truly capable of accomplishing in life.
