Carol A. Keene

Carol A. Keene, 64, of Orefield, died Jan. 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, in her home.

The wife of Bruce A. Keene, the couple would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in July.

Born March 12, 1957, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Edmund W. and Anne M. (Naylor) Killheffer.

She attended Bloomsburg University where she was president of the Chi Sigma Rho Sorority.

She earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Kutztown University.

Employed by Air Products and Chemicals for 26 years, she joined Wacker Chemical Corporation in 2008, where she was currently employed as the director of talent acquisition and development.

She had a true passion for her career and valued the mutual admiration between herself and her co-workers.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Orefield

She enjoyed cooking, and frequent travel, including trips to the Caribbean with her husband.

She loved spending time by the water, lounging by the pool, and most importantly, spending time with her beautiful family.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jeanette D. and her husband, Anthony L. Cartolano, of Cedar Park, Texas; son Andrew A. and his wife, Stephanie N. Keene, of Alexandria, Va.; sisters Regina A. and her husband, Robert E. Zimmerman, of Reinholds, Lancaster County, and Rita M. and her husband, John D. Ressler, of Brownstown, Lancaster County; and grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, James and Sarah.

Contributions may be made to the church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, PA 18069 or to a charity of one’s choice.
