Volunteer opportunities

AIDSNET, Bethlehem, needs community members and professionals (lawyer, CPA, clergy, physician, etc.) who live in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton or Schuylkill counties to join the board of directors and help oversee the organization’s mission of building healthier communities by planning and funding HIV/AIDS care and prevention services in those six counties. LEHIGH COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY needs volunteers for the cats that are up for adoption at the Bethlehem PetSmart on West Union Boulevard. This includes feeding, scooping litter, straightening the cage and socializing with them. Be a feline friend. They are looking for morning and afternoon shifts. LEHIGH VALLEY SCORE needs volunteer mentors to coach entrepreneurs at no charge for the local chapter in the nationwide SCORE organization. They partner with the SBA and local agencies who assist small business startups or local small businesses who need assistance. NORTHAMPTON COUNTY HISTORICAL & GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY, Easton, needs visitor services representatives to welcome tourists and local guests, provide information about the organization’s programs and services and provide information and assistance regarding activities and events in the surrounding communities. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK needs volunteers to assist in lobbies, inpatient nursing, emergency department or hospice by spending time socializing, providing comfort items and assist staff with various supportive duties. St. Luke’s volunteers are greatly appreciated and a valued member of the team. Join the program by calling 484-526-4600.

SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem, needs many volunteers to help with taking non-COVID-19 clients to their vital appointments. All volunteers will have to attend online orientation, provide criminal background check and proof of insurance. KN95 face masks and sanitizer wipes provided to volunteers.
