A world of dolls at library

The Allentown Public Library continues its tradition of placing some of its 400 dolls on public display as part of the holiday season.

The exhibit “Dolls of the World,” featuring dolls donated by Harriet Backenstoe and Dorothy Knauss, is on display in the lobby of the library, 1210 Hamilton St., Allentown, through Dec. 30.

This doll of Mexico is beautifully dressed in a colorful gown. The dolls may be viewed during library hours noon to 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays. The library is closed Sunday. Check for holiday hours.
