‘Pip: The Mouse Before Christmas’ is a hit

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

The Liberty Bell Museum, 622 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, began its annual presentation of “Pip: The Mouse Before Christmas” on Nov. 26.

And this year, the event was held inside the museum after being held in the front window at 835 W. Hamilton St. last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was the address of the original Hess Brothers department store where “Pip” was first performed on Oct. 27, 1962.

The set was built in 1959 by George Creegan in Ohio.

“Pip” is the last remaining set made by Creegan to survive.
