HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Christmas cookies available

Look no further! Heidelberg Union Church is having a Christmas cookie fundraiser.

These scrumptious handmade cookie cutouts are sold by the pound.

Place orders no later than Nov. 28 by calling 610-767-5351 or 610-767-6557.

Then, all you have to do is pickup the cookies 4-6 p.m. Dec. 10 in fellowship hall.

Spread the love! Heidelberg Union Church is collecting cans of yams to provide a Christmas holiday meal for Northern Lehigh Food Bank clients. The last day to contribute is Dec. 5.

Yams may be brought to the church and placed in the box in the narthex.

Popping with personality! On Dec. 6, Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., invites retirees to its Christmas party 11 a.m. in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall.

All retirees from the community are encouraged to come in from the cold and enjoy a fun afternoon of food and festivities.

Remember, you do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend.

Bring a covered dish to share, along with a small cost wrapped exchange gift so you can play everyone’s favorite game, “Now you have it. Now you don’t.”

True spirit! Heidelberg Union Church members will pack Christmas baskets at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 for the less fortunate in the area.

Donations of nonperishable food items for the Christmas baskets are needed and will be accepted until Dec. 18.

Boxes are in Heidelberg Church’s narthex and hallway for donated items.

To lend a hand packing baskets or if you know a neighboring family or individual in need, call Denise Snyder at 610-767-5351.

Just in time! According to Heidelberg Church Soup Kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, winter clothing, coats, shoes, boots, hats and gloves, etc., are being collected for those in need at the soup kitchen.Boxes are in Heidelberg Church’s narthex for donated items.
