School holds color run to raise funds for student enrichment

Willow Lane Elementary School hosted its first Color Run event recently at the school.

“Our first color run was an extremely successful fundraiser for our school,” Willow Lane Elementary School Principal Anthony Moyer replied in an email to The Press.

“We should end up with a total fundraising amount of $45,000. The money will be used to sponsor field trips and other special programs at Willow Lane.”

Students collected pledges to sponsor them in the event. Family and friends also were welcome to participate.

“The Color Run was sponsored by our PTO and led by Committee Chair Tessa Hullfish with assistance from PTO President, Erin Cummings,” Moyer added.
