EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My father’s name is Jeff, my mother’s name is Deb, my sister is Keerstin and my dog is named Hokie.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My choice would be between chemistry and biology because they both come easier to me than other subjects; therefore, I enjoy them more.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. A few awards I have received are: Excellence in Algebra, Principal’s Honor Roll and Student of the Month.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. I participate in winter and spring track. I am a member of National Honor Society. I volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital. COVID-19 caused the cancellation of my sophomore track season and volunteering was also less than ideal.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge has been having to move schools and adjust to new places.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school, I want to attend the Naval Academy.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire one of my mentors, Mrs. Villanueva, because she created an atmosphere in her classroom that helped me to enjoy school and learning.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I want to be remembered as someone who was everybody’s friend.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice for my peers would be to relax; it’s OK to relax.
