VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

·Forgotten Felines and Fidos, Germansville offers loving care to over 100 felines on any given day and is currently looking for fundraising support. Volunteers are needed to organize, coordinate and/or help with events, and initiate new fundraising activities from either our office or from the comfort of your home.

·Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, Fountain Hill, is looking for volunteers to come on a weekly basis 10-11:45 a.m. or 1:45 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. to assist with games, coloring and/or craft activities with our residents. Adult volunteers must pass a Pa. criminal history clearance. Students can complete their community service hours. All volunteers must have completed their COVID-19 vaccine. Minimum age 13.

·Center For Animal Health and Welfare, Easton, is seeking volunteers to walk dogs, assist with morning cleanings, attend off site events to promote the shelter, cat and dog enrichment and general shelter help.

·Family Volunteer Day, Nov. 20, is a Global Day of Service that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods.

·Holiday Hope Chests needs volunteers to donate wrapped shoe boxes filled with age-appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. Suggested gift lists are provided on the website. This program, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals.

·Lehigh Valley Children’s Center is planning a holiday party for our staff and their families Dec. 11 at Lehigh University, Iacocca Hall. We may have up to 200 in attendance. We would like adult volunteers to play our holiday elves and conduct activities for the children. Shifts begin at 8 a.m. with set up and end at 3:30 p.m. with clean up.

·Lehigh Valley Score needs volunteer mentors to coach entrepreneurs at no charge for the local chapter in the nationwide SCORE organization. We partner with the SBA and local agencies who assist small business startups or local small businesses who need assistance.
