Harry S. Lichtenwalner

Harry S. Lichtenwalner, 90, formerly of Lyon Valley and Macungie areas and Fellowship Community, died Oct. 24, 2021. He was the husband of the late Flora F. (Foster) Lichtenwalner, who died Oct. 3. Born and raised in Macungie on his parents’ dairy farm, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Sadie M. (Erb) Lichtenwalner.

He was a member of Grace Community Church, New Tripoli and a former member of Solomon’s UCC, Macungie and Weisenberg Union Church, New Tripoli.

Along with farming his dairy farm, he worked part time as a farm implement mechanic for Kemmerer & Smith, International Harvester, Agway and Gunther Huessman. In 1999, he retired from full-time service at John Deere Lehigh Ag in Chapmans.

He was active in the 4-H Club, Macungie Field Days, Macungie and Seipstown Granges, Lehigh County Soil Conservation, Zoning Board of Weisenberg Township and Lehigh Valley Dairy Advisory Board. Gifted with all things mechanical – on the farm and at work, and he blessed many.

He loved puzzles, candy, speaking Pennsylvania Dutch, family gatherings and the Lord.

He is survived by sons, Bruce S. and his wife, Marliese E., Dan L. and his wife, Jan E., Ray S. and his wife, Jill N., Matthew E. and his wife, Tracie A.; a daughter, Judith E.; a sister, May Keiser; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Standley, Arthur, Walter, Theodore and George and sisters, Gladys Fink, Ruth, Marion Bollinger and Marguerite Long.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, 18052.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at Grace Community Church, 7343 Gun Club Road, New Tripoli, 18066. Calling will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville and 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at church.
