UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP: ‘Playing with Fire’ at Grange Park

Upper Macungie Township will show the movie “Playing with Fire” Sept. 10 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

Activities begin at 7 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.

Food trucks will be on site.

The township and Plant Pilates owner and ASFA Certified Fitness Instructor Marlana Betesh will offer a combination of Pilates and a nutrition class 6 p.m. Tuesdays Sept. 7-28 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.

This Pilates-HIT blend is designed to burn fat with a dynamic mixture of classic and modern Pilates exercises.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegel’s Church Road, will be packing boxes for those in the military who serve outside the country.

Donations of snack bars, cheese crackers, candy (no chocolate), gum, nuts, trail mix, Raman noodles, flavoring packets for water, beef jerky, instant mac and cheese, peanut butter, toothbrushes and paste, lip balm, lotions word puzzle books, stationary, and envelopes, etc., are needed by Sept. 5.

The Mission Team’s Shrimp Boil will take place 4-6 p.m. Sept. 19 at the church.

The meal includes salad, half-pound of shrimp (quarter pound of shrimp for children’s meals), sausage, potatoes, corn, drink, and dessert.

All proceeds will be used for work in disaster relief or recovery missions.
