Tyler D. Long

Tyler D. Long, 49, of Emmaus, beloved son of Nancy and Elmer Long, of Emmaus, died June 18, 2021, in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

A graduate of Emmaus High School and Pennsylvania School of Technology, he was employed by Times News Inc., Lehighton, for 31 years.

He loved his job, often working through pain to finish it. An expert fisherman at an early age, he delighted in winning the “boat pools” after an excursion.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Thomas (Tammy) of Dillsburg; sisters Jennifer Strobl (Rod) of Emmaus, Kara Kroh (Eric) of Enola; first nieces and nephews Jessica McMekin, Taylor, Thomas and Trenton, Kevin and Shalease Strobl, and Justin, Jared and Cassidy Kroh; and great-nieces and nephews Harper, Kevin and Saj.

Services are private, at the convenience of the family.
