Lehigh Township: Public meeting planned for June 24

The Lehigh Township Planning Commission will hold a public meeting 7 p.m. June 24 regarding the township’s comprehensive plan.

The meeting will begin with a 6:30 p.m. open house to allow the public to informally review the draft recommendations and maps. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be at the municipal building, 1069 Municipal Road.

The comprehensive plan draft includes a set of policies for the development and conservation of the township over the next 10 years. It addresses future land uses, housing, transportation, community facilities, natural features, agricultural conservation and ways to carry out the plan.

The recommendations are intended to lead to an update of the township’s zoning ordinance.

Salem United Methodist Church, 1067 Blue Mountain Drive, Danielsville, will be holding its first charity dessert auction June 26.

All sorts of homemade desserts will be auctioned off to support the Bath Area Food Pantry.

The evening begins 5 p.m. to view the various desserts being auctioned. The auction begins 6 p.m.

Coffee and refreshments will be available as well.

The Lehigh Township Lioness-Lions Club will be holding a basket party 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 25 at Indian Trail Park, Route 248, Pennsville.
