Parton catch helps East All-Stars win PSFCA game

Salisbury’s record-setting wide receiver played his final high school football game last month.

East Stroudsburg University-bound senior Chad Parton was selected to play in the May 30 Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East vs. West Class Small School (classes 1A-3A) All-Star Game at Landis Field at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg.

Parton was the first ever Salisbury high school football player to be selected to play in this game.

Parton made five catches for 55 yards and one touchdown, which happened to be the game winning touchdown as the East defeated the West. 17-10.

A group of 12 friends and family members made the trip to the game to support him. The group included Salisbury head football coach Andy Cerco and three of his assistant coaches. Also making the trip was Salisbury’s starting quarterback, and Chad’s teammate the last two seasons Quintin Stephens.
