UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP Upper Macungie showing drive-in style movie, June 4

Upper Macungie Township will be showing the movie “Trolls: World Tour” drive-in style June 4 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

Activities begin at 7 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.

Food trucks will be available.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is hosting an Adopt a Reading Buddy event for children ages 2-10.

Drop by the library any Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. in June to adopt a stuffed animal friend and pledge to read to them this summer.

A virtual Teen Dungeon and Dragons Night will be held 6-8 p.m. on June 7 through the website R20 for students in seventh through 12th grade.

The library will host a LEGO Masters Show and Tell for kids from 6:30-7:30 p.m. June 8 via Zoom.

Every Monday staff will email participants a new LEGO challenge to be completed by the end of the week.

Participants will then have 2-3 minutes during the show and tell to share their creation and talk about their engineering process.

The library’s Senior Book Club will meet from 3-4 p.m. June 8 via Zoom to discuss the novel “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens.

Join yoga instructor Deanna Nagle for her gentle yoga for adults 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 10 and 17 on Zoom.

She will guide participants through a range of motions to improve energy and focus, decrease pain in the body, and calm the central nervous system.

The Short Story Society for adults will discuss the short story “The Last Night of the World” by Ray Bradbury 3-4 p.m. June 10 via Zoom.

Summer Quest, previously known as Summer Reading, which provides readers of all ages the opportunity to experience everything the library has to offer through leisure reading, virtual programs and participation in a variety of activities will be offered June 13 through Aug. 7 at the library.

The theme for this year is Tails and Tales™.

Kids in grades five through 12 join library staff for a 45-minute live session with jellyfish, manta rays and more 6:30-7:30 p.m. June 14 on Zoom.

This is the first of two virtual Teen Aquarium Experiences Ray Bay and Planet Jellies.

Each session will be followed by a question-and-answer time.
