134th District

Senior day will be May 21

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, will host a senior day May 21 in his district office in the Lower Macungie Township administration building, 3402 Brookside Road.

Appointments are required.

Mackenzie’s staff can assist seniors with applications or provide more information on programs that may be available to them at no cost to help ease some of the stress for those living on a fixed income.

Residents do not need to pay a third party for assistance with these forms.

Programs available to seniors include the PA-1000 Property Tax/Rent Rebate program; PACE/PACENET prescription assistance; reduced vehicle registration fee; handicap placards and the low income home energy assistance program.

Other services are also available to senior citizens.

As always, seniors are welcome any time to come to the office for assistance, but older adults and their caretakers or family members are encouraged to schedule an appointment given the current health crisis.
