A Whitehall Township man died May 5 after being struck by a vehicle on North Seventh Street in the township.

Sixty-year-old Edwin Rodriguez was struck by a motor vehicle approximately 5:54 p.m. May 5 on North Seventh Street near Sumner Avenue, according to Richard B. Pender, morgue operations manager with the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. He was pronounced dead 6:36 p.m. May 5 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

An autopsy was scheduled to be performed May 7 to determine the cause and manner of death.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the death is being investigated by Whitehall Township Police Department.
