Dr. Richard M. Dobrowolski

Dr. Richard M. Dobrowolski, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, died May 1, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Gail (Thimons) Dobrowolski for 56 years.

Born in Tarentum, he was a son of the late Richard and Helen (Drobka) Dobrowolski.

He was a 1960 graduate of Tarentum High School where he was an athlete and football player. He received a full scholarship to play football at the University of Pittsburgh, from which he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree.

He was a dentist in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He opened Dr. Richard M. Dobrowolski, D.M.D., now Bethlehem Dental Care, where he worked for 51 years until he retired in 2018.

He was a past member of the American, Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley dental associations and the Bethlehem Dental Society, of which he was a past president. He was since 1977 a member of Saucon Valley Country Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Craig of Allentown and Brad and his wife Diane Wagner of Bethlehem; two granddaughters, Aubree and Lila; two brothers, David Dobrowolski and his wife Karen of Natrona Heights and Dr. Rodney M. Dobrowolski and his wife Caroline of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Sean M. Dobrowolski.
