‘Candidates will work tirelessly to ensure a bright future’

To the Editor:

I’m writing to express my support for Salisbury Township School Board candidates Joseph Gnall, Laura McKelvey and Christopher Freas.

These individuals are all parents of children at different stages of their school journeys and they are advocates for what’s best for kids and the Salisbury community.

Joe, Laura and Chris ask thoughtful and challenging questions of the school district’s administration, board members and each other. They share creative ideas. They have also spent countless hours building an understanding of the district’s financial struggles and opportunities and are committed to dedicating the time and energy needed to provide strong leadership for our district in the years to come.

These candidates are committed to open dialogue with community members, teachers and staff to make sure that everyone’s voices are heard. They are open-minded and hardworking and have demonstrated a commitment to examining issues and decisions from all angles.

The next school board will play a critical role in shaping the future of this district: the recent reconfiguration, aging facilities and the aftermath of the pandemic pose challenges Joe, Laura and Chris are well-suited to tackle.

In the May 18 primary, I urge you to cast your vote for Gnall, McKelvey and Freas for the 4-year positions and also vote for McKelvey and Freas for the 2-year seats (yes - you can and should vote for them twice!).

I’m confident these individuals will work tirelessly to ensure a bright future for our school district and for all of our kids.
