Felix Jurasits

Felix Jurasits, 84, of Northampton, died April 30, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of Florence (Tanzosh) for 59 years.

Born in Szentpeterfa, Hungary, from which he escaped in 1955, he was a son of the late Felix and Mary (Janny) Jurasits.

He worked for Fuller Company for 10 years. He then was a machinist at Ingersoll Rand, Allentown, until he retired.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. He sang in the choir for many years.

He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael at home; two daughters, Marianne Grabarits and her husband Michael of Walnutport and Monica Weninger and her husband Mark of Warrington; a sister, Kathy Lukacs of Hungary; three grandchildren, Sarah Bachman, Chelsey Henson and her husband Josh and Rachel Weninger; five great-grandchildren, Khale, Konnor, Breanna, Kayden and Riley; two step-grandchildren, Kristi and Sabrina Grabarits; a brother-in-law, Paul Tanzosh; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Giza Varga of Hungary.

There will be a calling time 6-8 p.m. May 6 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21 St., Northampton. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. May 7 at the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18037. Practice social distancing and wear a face cover.
