The Pennsylvania Cooperative Potato Growers announced March 25 customers will be able to purchase fresh potato doughnuts at Grim’s Orchard and Family Farms, 9875 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, beginning the opening weekend and continuing 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays during the Grim’s season.

“We are excited that Farm Show fans will be able to enjoy fresh Pennsylvania Farm Show potato doughnuts beyond the traditional eight-day show in January,” said Nathan Tallman, executive director of the Pennsylvania Cooperative Potato Growers Inc.

“In January, fans were able to purchase potato doughnuts from select locations in the Harrisburg and Lancaster areas.”

Pennsylvania Farm Show powdered sugar potato doughnuts by the half-dozen will be available for purchase in Grim’s event center building while the daily supplies last.

“We missed our annual trip to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg this year due to the coronavirus and didn’t get to enjoy the farm show potato doughnuts,” said Josh Grim, of Grim’s Orchard and Family Farms. “So instead, we are bringing the farm show potato doughnuts to the farm, and now everyone else can also enjoy them.”

Visitors are asked to check the farm’s website at grimsorchard.com for the latest announcements including all COVID-19 guidelines in place by local, state and federal officials.
