Parkland divers took the top two places and three of the top five in the boys District 11 Class 3A Championship meet, held at Emmaus High School on Feb. 27
The Trojans’ Ethan Radio cruised to a first-place finish with 452.9 points, while teammate Ryan Beltrame finished second at 332.85. Parkland’s Matthew Blommel (289.5) finished in fifth place a the meet.
Radio has not taken first place in three straight meets after earning gold in the East Penn Conference midseason meet then following that with a boys title at the EPC Championship meet. He will move on to the state championships on Saturday, March 13 at Cumberland Valley High School.
Northampton’s Brad Chatenka (316.4) took third place while Ryan Smith (Easton) finished fourth in the meet, which included seven boys divers.
In the girls diving championship, Freedom’s Sarah Gill won the meet with a score of 386.95. Parkland’s top girls finishers were Nicole Stokfo (298.55) in fifth place and Ally Roth (297.65) in sixth place. Easton’s Rachel Marcus (351.55) and Madison Cunard (340.50) took second and third places, respectively.
