PPL Center will host district basketball games

The PIAA District XI Committee is proud to announce that portions of our District XI Basketball Tournament will return to PPL Center in Allentown.

District XI Basketball is honored to be able to play basketball games at the PPL Center on Monday, March 8, Tuesday, March 9, and Thursday, March 11.

The games would not be possible to be played at PPL Center without the incredible support of Service Electric and St. Luke’s University Health Network. Both organizations continual support makes these events possible. All games at the PPL Center will be televised by Service Electric Network.

There is intention to have tickets available for purchase for each of the participating teams. Details on tickets will be available as we get closer to the games. The District XI All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Health Regulations, Mandates, and Guidelines will be in effect for all of these contests in the PPL Center. Spectators, staff, coaches, officials, and athletes are expected to comply properly with the aforementioned guidelines in place at the time of the contests.

“In the past the PPL Center has provided the student-athletes of District XI with an outstanding, in some cases, once in a lifetime experience. To be able to provide the opportunity again to this year’s teams is a great thing, considering all of the adjustments that our communities have had to endure,” said District XI Basketball Chair Ray Kinder.

“It goes without saying that our partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network and Service Electric has so much more than meets the eye. Their perseverance in making this happen with the leadership at PPL Center will be a highlight and memory that our student-athletes will not forget,” said District XI Chairman Bob Hartman.
