JAN. 9

In the 600 block of St. John Street, a civil matter occurred.

JAN. 10

Police responded twice to the 300 block of Mulberry Street for noise complaints of loud music and a party.

Garbage dumped on Covington Place was reported to police.

A child custody and civil matter occurred in the 200 block of East Wood Street.

Police assisted the fire department with a report of an odor of natural gas in the 100 block of Walnut Street.

Abandoned vehicles in the 400 block of East Wood Street were filed with the department.

JAN. 11

A traffic stop was conducted at Front and Bridge streets. The driver was cited.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police in the 1600 block of Washington Street.

A trespassing complaint in the 300 block of Front Street was investigated. Damage to a construction site was involved in the case.

At Second and Race streets, officers responded to a traffic complaint.

An unattended death was investigated in the 500 block of Kurtz Street.

Individuals burning garbage, which was extinguished by the fire department, in the 100 block of Canal Street was reported to police.

In the 700 block of Second Street, a parking complaint had police on the scene.

JAN. 12

Criminal mischief in the 300 block of Front Street was reported.

Police checked on the welfare of students in the 400 block of Front Street and in the 400 block of Race Street.

An animal complaint was investigated in the 100 block of Race Street.

A noise complaint in the 800 block of Walnut Street was reported.

A report of a stolen vehicle from Front Street brought out police. The case was referred to the auto theft task force.

Officers investigated a noise complaint in the 700 block of Front Street.

JAN. 13

A verbal warning was issued during a traffic enforcement at Race and 15th streets.

A fire call sounded in the 800 block of Walnut Street.

Police said a vehicle was stolen on Front Street. It was recovered.

A vehicle was towed for multiple traffic violations in the 300 block of Second Street.

Two dogs were struck in the 100 block of Front Street, the department said.

Police checked on the welfare of individuals in the 200 block of Pine Street, in the 1000 block of Third Street and in the 800 block of Walnut street.

A hit and run occurred at Fourth and Bridge streets.

The theft of money took place in the 400 block of Race Street.

A K-9 assist was conducted at Linden and Second streets.

At Fourth and Bridge streets, police conducted a vehicle pursuit.
