The Quarantettes sing Christmas carols in Emmaus

PRESS PHOTO BY C. RICHARD CHARTRAND The Quarantettes sing Christmas carols on the porch of the Emmaus Historical Society Dec. 11. The group consists of four women who have studied under Dr. Yvonne Robinson at her vocal studio. They individually sing with the Allentown Symphony Chorus, The Bach Choir, the Cathedral Church of the Nativity Choir and the Emmaus Moravian Choir. They decided to get together during the pandemic since choral music was so scarce – which is how they got their name, the Quarantettes. Pictured are Catherine Alling, Lynn German Long, Jean Harakal and Siobhan DeRemer. An additional photo appears on Page A6.
PRESS PHOTO BY C. RICHARD CHARTRAND Spectators stand on the sidewalk as the singers are masked throughout the program Dec. 11 at the Emmaus Historical Society. The Quarantettes sang a variety of Christmas carols including: “The Angel Carol,” “What Child is This,” “The First Noel” and others.
