FHS’ Moore takes home defensive MVP honors

The East Penn Conference announced football all-stars in the Northampton division late last week and Freedom’s tenacious two-way lineman Braelin Moore took home MVP honors on the defensive side of the ball.

Moore, a junior defensive end and offensive tackle, had 21 tackles, 4.5 sacks and three fumble recoveries, as he helped lead Freedom to the District 11 6A championship game.

Nazareth senior quarterback Matt Bugbee was named MVP on offense, as he threw for 1,482 yards and 10 touchdowns, to go along with 229 rushing yards and 10 more scores, as the Blue Eagles finished 8-0 en route to their second-straight district title. He was also named the league’s top kicker, after nailing 32 PAT’s and four field goals.
