Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, changes have been made at the Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli.

Up to 150 gift baskets will be available to be viewed at the reinvented 2020 Holiday Basket Social.

This is a great time for holiday shopping without having to do online shopping or going to crowded stores.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be followed.

Hours for the social are: noon-5 p.m. Nov. 15, 16, 17, 19 and 21; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18; and from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 18 and 20.

Tickets may be purchased upon admission.

Winners will be notified Nov. 22 with convenient pickup hours.

The historical society is sponsoring a candy sale featuring selections of chocolates and brittles from Reppert’s Candy.

A copy of the order form can be found on Facebook.

Prepaid orders will be taken until Nov. 30.

Orders can be picked up at the historical society headquarters noon to 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 19.

Within the next few weeks, the historical society will be opening an outside library at the store entrance.
