Damian DiPaolo scores 50th career goal

The Catty boys soccer team had a big win over Salem Christian, 10-2.

The boys got off to an 8-0 lead in the first half and never looked back.

Damian DiPaolo scored three goals in the victory, which included the 50th goal scored in his career as a Rough Rider.

Donovan Ahart added two as did Vinicus Takahashi. Jaxon Berrier. Brendan Nye and Luis Del Rosario each had one goal.

Del Rosario and Berrier each had two assists. Also picking up assists were DiPaolo, Nye and Nick Smell.

Jacob Diaz had two goals for Salem Christian.

Catty fell to Wilson 2-1.

Wilson led 2-0 at the half before Catty cut into the lead but couldn’t force home the tying goal.

Donovan Ahart scored for the Roughs while Wilson Bibano and Tanner Sandt had goals for the Warriors.

Field Hockey

Catasauqua field hockey fell to Northwestern 4-0. Four different scorers found the back of the net for the Tigers.

Northwestern’s first goal was by Brinley Rex and assisted by Lauren Schellhamer. The second goal was by Greenleigh McGenee and assisted by Schellhamer. The third goal was by Ali Lister and the fourth came from Charlotte Horn and was assisted by Lauren Schellhamer.

Catty Goalkeeper Sophia Becker had 20 saves, Destany Montanez had a defensive save, and Chloe Moyer had a defensive save.

Southern Lehigh knocked off Catty 3-0.

Northern Lehigh beat the Roughs 6-3.

Gabby Myster had a hat trick for the Bulldogs as an assist came from Delaney Szwast on one of the goals.

Jordyn Hemmingway and Brooke Nonnemacher had unassisted goals while Olivia Horninger scored on an assist from Hailie Krasenics.

NL goalie Kendall Heiney saved five.

Girls soccer

The Rough Rider girls soccer team lost 3-2 to Northern Lehigh.

Kaylee Weidaw scored both of the Catty goals as Emma Hawk picked up both assists.

For the Bulldogs, Shaina Mazzocca scored all three goals.

The girls fell to Northwestern 2-0.

For the Tigers, Sophia Motolese and Alexa Bleam each scored goals in the win.

Volleyball

The Catty volleyball team dropped recent games to Salem Christian and Dieruff.

Salem Christian won 25-18, 25-9, 25-17.

Dieruff won 26-24, 25-16, 25-23.

Catty fell to Palmerton but earned a set win, losing 3-1.

Palmerton won 17-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-16, as CHS came out and won the first set.
