Rheta M. (Shellock) Botteon, 83, of Fullerton, died Aug. 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late Elmer P. Botteon for 30 years.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia (Bishop) Shellock.

She was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1966 graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse at Cedarbrook for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and its Young at Heart group for many years. She was a member of the nursing program at St. Elizabeth’s and at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Northampton.

She volunteered in the employee health department of Sacred Heart Hospital for 16 years. She was a past president of both the Catholic Nurses Association of Lehigh County and of the Women of St. Elizabeth.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan M. Warmkessel of Whitehall; two grandchildren, Emily Rose and Aaron Paul Warmkessel; a son, Vincent P. and his wife Colleen (McCarthy); six sisters, Michaelene P. and her husband Arthur Flegler of Nazareth, Sylvia V. and her husband Joseph Malozi of Bethlehem, Genevieve “Jean” A. and her husband Peter Keschl of Allentown, Elizabethann Smith of Allentown, Marylouise Shellock of Bethlehem and Eileen M. Shellock of St. Louis, Mo.; and a brother, the Rev. Brother Boniface-Joseph John Shellock of Springfield, Ill.
