Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, reports this summer’s Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School program will be chugging online right into peoples homes.

Social distancing will not close down the tracks as Jesus’ power “pulls us through.”

VBS fun and learning will be unveiled every Wednesday for five weeks, starting July 8 and concluding Aug. 5.

Each encounter will be full of action and activities.

Children will see Union Lutheran friends, learn the lesson and sing and dance along with the music.

All are invited to join in the fun, even if you are not a member of Union Lutheran.

Union Lutheran will conduct outdoor worship services every other Wednesday, starting at 7 p.m. July 8.

Communion elements in sealed packages will be offered in a safe manner by church representatives wearing masks and gloves. Bring along chairs.

Services are emailed each week at 8 a.m. and may be viewed anytime on the website.

Assistant to the Pastor Cathy Shaffer reports even when worship can resume in the sanctuary, the church will continue to have an online presence.

“Our goal is to reach people,” Shaffer said.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, welcomes all to a water balloon challenge 7:45 p.m. June 28.

People are asked to bring a toiletry item for the Lehigh Conference of Churches.

In return they will receive a water balloon to cool off the pastors and other staff.

Afterward, enjoy some ice cream, sparklers, a blessing, and songs.

Wear a mask and practice social distancing.
