Suspected drug dealer

Bethlehem Police arrested Ian Chavez, 34, of East Garrison Street, for drug possession and related charges June 15. The arrest of Chavez represents the culmination of a monthslong investigation that began with the overdose death of a female in March. During the service of the search warrant, detectives recovered marijuana, over $1,000 in cash, two firearms and about 170 pills believed to be fentanyl disguised as Percocet.

Chavez was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
