Mims named all-state
Freedom’s Caleb Mims was named to the Pennsylvania All-State basketball third team over the weekend.
The Freedom senior enjoyed a stellar winter season en route to the Patriots winning the District 11 6A championship. Mims averaged 18.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game. He leaves the program as the second all-time leading scorer with 1,201 points. He also set the school record for three-pointers made with 138.
Both Caleb and his brother Malek will head to Springfield Commonwealth Academy in Massachusetts for a year of prep school.
