A Whitehall woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash May 25 on southbound MacArthur Road at South Church Street in the township.
Louise Kelleher, 83, died at the scene, according to Lehigh County Coroner Eric D. Minnich.
The crash occurred 5:15 p.m. Whitehall Township Police Lt. Greg Bealer said Kelleher was traveling northbound on MacArthur Road and attempted to make a left turn onto South Church Street. Her vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling south on MacArthur Road. The driver of the southbound vehicle was ejected and transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with serious injuries.
Minnich ruled the cause of Kelleher’s death as multiple traumatic injuries and the manner as an accident.
Whitehall Township Fire Department, Fire Police and Emergency Management Agency, Cetronia Ambulance Corps and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation traffic services assisted at the scene, Bealer said.
