Bethlehem Police are seeking help in identifying person of interest in an assault.

The Bethlehem Police Department is looking for help finding/identifying a person of interest in a sexual assault that occurred a little after 5 a.m. May 19 on Hillside Avenue. The person of interest is described as a black male in his early 20s with short hair, about 6 feet tall and a medium build. He was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt with the word “Lehigh” in white letters on the front.

This male may have been operating a 2018 or newer dark colored Jeep Compass Trail Hawk edition or similar vehicle. The vehicle left Hillside Ave around 5:40 a.m. and may have traveled toward Route 378. Anyone with any information about this person’s identity or about the location, owner or operator of the vehicle is asked to contact Det Molony at 610-865-7162. Callers may remain anonymous.
