David D. Roper, 82, of Bethlehem, died April 8, 2020, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Wright) Roper. They would have celebrated 56 years of marriage in August. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Donald and Grace (Williams) Roper.

He was a well-known jazz pianist forming the Dave Roper Trio. He was an esteemed English teacher for the East Penn School District for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife; brother-in-law, Lloyd Wright; niece, Lisa King.
