Elizabeth M. “Betty” Laevey, 80, of Lower Macungie Township, died March 24, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Neylon) Mitchell.

She was a Eucharistic minister with St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown and was a graduate of Rutgers University.

She was a personnel representative for FedEx in Memphis, Tenn. for several years until retiring.

She enjoyed building dollhouses, crafting and playing dominos.

She is survived by children, Christopher M. and his wife, Alberta, of Emmaus, Alison and her husband, Seth Roberts, of Denver, Colo. and Jonathan, of Whippany, N.J.; five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date this summer. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
