Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative and Snack Pack Pals formed the new Whitehall-Coplay community outreach program.

Our two summer breakfast site locations will hold a drop-and-go food distribution every Thursday 11 a.m.-noon and 6-7 p.m. at the following locations:

• Redeemed Christian Church of God, 5 N. Third St., Coplay

Coplay residents are to come to the sidewalk along the church’s side door on Coplay Street. The church is on the corner of Coplay and North Third streets. Call or text Carol Clancy at 610-360-6305.

• St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., Whitehall

Whitehall residents are to turn at the school building, now an office building, at Third and Quarry streets and go through the church parking lot on the right of the street to Cherry Alley. Cars will go up the alley and stop at the door with the ramp for distribution and then turn back onto Third Street. Call or text Lana Snyder at 610-533-1357.

Please note: Our number of children and adults served have more than doubled at both locations. We will do our best but only have so many bags of food to hand out, and we may not be able to serve everyone who comes.

For future distributions, we need to prepare for approximately 350 children. We need small, individual cereal boxes/bags, individual microwaveable macaroni and cheese, juice boxes/pouches and 8-ounce shelf-stable milk (white milk preferred).

And in preparation to feed 250 adults, we need jelly, pancake mix, pancake syrup, canned vegetables and envelopes of rice/pasta sides.

These items can be dropped off by the front door of my office, Re/Max Unlimited Real Estate, 1080 Schadt Ave., Whitehall. The office is closed, but the food is being brought in daily.
