Robert J. Kimble Sr., 89, of Bluffton, S.C. and formerly of Macungie, died peacefully March 25, 2020, in his home with his loving wife, Barbara J. (Titus) Kimble and his youngest daughter, Kelly A., by his side. He shared a long and beautiful marriage of over 53 years with Barbara. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Charles W. Sr. and Carrie (Ruth) Kimble.
He worked as a cabinetmaker for Ritter and Smith, retiring in 1992. He then spent more than 20 years working with his dear friend Dr. Robert Williams (Doc) and played saxophone and clarinet for over 24 years with the Stan Keiser Band.
He is survived by his wife; children, Dr. Robert J. Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Robyn L. and her husband, Steven Snyder, Dr. Randy A. and his wife, Dr. Marianne Wilson, Corey T. and his wife, Stephanie and Kelly A.; brother, Charles W. Jr.; niece, Linda and her husband, Donald Smoyer; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Audrey and a brother, Trevor.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
