Letter to the Editor
To the Editor:
We have continued to monitor the recommendations of the CDC and health officials and know the COVID-19 (coronavirus) has continued to spread globally as well as in our region.
In light of all of the developments and in keeping in accord with the recommendations of health officials we are canceling in-person worship through March 30.
In addition, the building will be closed to all committees and organizations, including all outside groups. Any events planned during that time will be postponed or canceled.
Jesus calls us to love our neighbor, and in this case an important way of showing love for our neighbor is through social distancing.
We will endeavor to find new ways to be the church during this time of crisis.
In the coming days we will be sending out regular devotional/spiritual messages to help in centering your faith and we are considering new ways to worship and carry out our ministry at a time when we can’t gather in person.
We anticipate a rise in the need for our Little Pantry as more people are unable to work.
If you are able to do so, please continue to share food items so that we can keep that ministry going. You may contact the church office to let us know when you will be dropping off food by calling or emailing us at 610-767-6884 or office@ulclv.org.
This is a very fluid and constantly changing situation and we will continue to adapt to those changes.
Updates and other information will be posted on our Facebook page, website and through emails and WFMZ.
Please don’t hesitate to call with questions or concerns.
I ask you to continue to pray for those who are sick or vulnerable, those who are anxious, those who are caring for the sick, and for all leaders, including those of our congregation who are trying to navigate through these unchartered waters.
