Olive B. Wenninger

Olive B. Wenninger, 90, of Wescosville, died March 6, 2020, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Harley J. Wenninger, with whom she shared nearly 69 years of marriage. Born in Red Bank, N.J., she was the daughter of the late William and Esther (Lins) Best.

In 1946, she began her career as an operator with Bell Telephone of PA and retired in 1985 as an assistant manager.

She was a lifetime member and past president from 1983 to 1984 of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement, she volunteered for Lehigh Valley Hospital for 37 years.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown and also a member of AARP.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Anne Marie, of Macungie, Jane W. Oskam, of Lower Macungie; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William S. Best.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the church.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. March 11 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. Calling will begin 12:30 p.m. Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home Breinigsville.
