A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of MacArthur and Mechanicsville roads March 2 has claimed a life, according to a news release from Whitehall Township Police Department.
Lauren Schrader-Zavatter, 31, of Emmaus, died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, after being extricated from one of the vehicles and transported via ambulance for treatment of her injuries.
The crash occurred just before 8:30 p.m., bringing out emergency personnel from the township’s police and fire departments as well as Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Lt. Gregory Bealer said.
According to Eric Minnich, Lehigh County coroner, Schrader-Zavatter, the driver of one of the vehicles, died of multiple traumatic injuries. He ruled the manner of death an accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Accident Reconstruction Team and Coroner’s Office, according to Bealer.
No additional information was available by press time March 4.
