Joseph D. Zemba, 63, of Catasauqua, died Jan. 19, 2020, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the former husband of Maria Cunningham.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Doris L. (Muth) Zemba.
He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and Pacific Western University.
He was a member of the former St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.
He and his family owned and operated the Sportsman’s Bar, Catasauqua, for many years. He worked as a freelance writer and photographer for most of his life.
He was a member and founder of many social and athletic clubs in the Lehigh Valley.
He is survived by a daughter, Melissa L. and her husband Fornando Robinson; a son, Christopher J. and his girlfriend Michele Gubish; nine grandchildren, Adiva, Avery, Melody, Macy, Malyah, Hayden, Carly, Mason and Abigail; an uncle, Jack Zemba; two cousins, Jeff Zemba and Debbie Miller; and a lifelong friend, Rich Keenan.
There will be a calling period 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service noon, Jan. 24 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
