Frank S. Skrapits, 91, of Walnutport, died Jan. 7, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Walters) Skrapits for 66 years.

Born in Walnutport, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Jurasits) Skrapits.

He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949.

He co-owned and operated, with his wife, the former Frank’s Market, Walnutport, for 12 years before he retired in 1983. He was a drill press operator from 1950 to 1971 for Purolator Oil Filter Company, Allentown.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Berlinsville.

He was a longtime member of the Lehigh Township Historical Society and the Danielsville Democratic Club. He was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stephen F. and his wife Katrina of Danielsville; two daughters, Bridgett F. Reese and her husband George of Walnutport and Rita Green of Palmerton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two daughters, Bertha A. Skrapits and Lydia R. Mack.
