Ernest L. John, 88, of Allentown, died Jan. 6, 2020, at Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of the late Ann T. (Klucsarits) John.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Leonard F. and Anna E. (Schlosser) John.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War.

He was a senior project engineer for more than 21 years at the Fuller Company, Catasauqua, from which he retired in 1995.

He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Calvary Council 528, American Legion Post 576 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2124, all of Allentown.

He is survived by two cousins, Corinne Reily of Catasauqua and Diane Smith of Allentown; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Larry John.
