MLK ‘Peace’ celebration Jan. 20
The Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Celebration, “Peace and Nonviolence”, will be held on January 20 in St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 474 Vine St. There will be a luncheon, catered by Danielle’s Cafeteria, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a discussion from noon to 1 p.m.

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20 marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. This is also the MLK Day of Service, a way to honor his life and teachings by engaging in community action that continues to solve social problems.
